Today in the cafeteria at work I procured and ate the first taco of my entire life. I am 32 years old. And it was good – but not great – so I'm left uncertain if I will ever have one again.
Melissa, I swear it was an accident! There was just always something better to have... for 32 years in a row...
Anthony, I love the hell outta those other things – in fact, there used to be a restaurant within walking distance that made those items sublimely. But then they moved to St. Vital.
Winnipeg is a kickass city for ethnic restaurants, but for some reason Mexican eludes us. The place I referred to above is El Salvadorean, so mebbe it's similar.
Okay, whoa - really? This is quite the revelation!
And - La Fiesta tacos and Joey's tacos are not similar at all. Athough I agree with Ian, they are pretty good there (Joey's). La Fiesta wins in my books. Too bad Chi-chi's still wasn't around...

WHAT?! How have you avoided tacos for 32 years? You need some non-cafeteria tacos to show you the light.
Is it just tacos or have you managed to avoid burritos, enchiladas, tostadas etc. Have they never interested you. You've got me fascinated now ;)

cafeteria fish taco?
wow you've got guts sir!
try one at a restaurant sometime, they're all the rage nowadays. I usually go with burritos or Quesadilla with many beers or on-the-rocks margaritas.
it's 9am and now i want mexican food.

Joey's does a fish taco, it's not bad.
We make our own at home, you can buy the kits eh? the shells with the flat bottom stand up on their own.
This revelation of yours prompts me to ask, is there anything else you've been meaning to try?
